A traditional Finnish sauna is pretty inexpensive and can be built to fit any surrounding or space perfectly. Obviously, the size really matters for the installation of sauna rooms. Sizing depends on number of people using them at the same time. Here are a few important things to consider for planning sauna rooms at homes:
Bench –
The top bench must be at least 20” wide and 36” from the floor. You should place benches on wall supports and legs. It’s recommended to have 2” x 4” cedar with ½” space between the boards. The cubic footage of sauna rooms plays a key role in determining the capacity of heating unit.
Ventilation –
Ventilation is really important in a sauna room to deliver utmost satisfaction and inherent pleasure. When proper ventilation is in place, it’ll speed up heating the sauna room again. Shortage of air leads to inadequate ventilation or poor management of ventilation which will ensure uncomfortable feeling. As a result, you’ll feel difficulty in breathing or skin burning
